Engagements

Here is a list of projects which NuByte was engaged in.

Rogers Wireless Broadbrand

Rogers had aquired Microcell (FIDO) in 2005.  As part of the aquistion to maintain the spectrum, Rogers had to build out a wide area network using the spectrum.  It was a joint venture between Rogers and Bell.

The service was later named - Rogers Portable Internet.  The project entailed working with both Rogers Wireless and Rogers Cable Engineering teams.  The aspects of provisioning and billing was the main focus; with a secondary focus on network roll out.

Rogers Home Phone

Rogers aquired Sprint and with the current Home Phone product, NuByte needed to migrate and integrate into Sprint's VoIP platform.  This involved integrated billing and provisioning.

Rogers HSDPA (3.5G Rollout)

Rogers network evolution from 2G (Edge/GPRS) to 3.5G (HSDPA) was a network transforamtion project.  This involved all functional areas of Rogers, including engineering, product marketing, customer care, billing and compliance groups.

Non-Linear Measurement

With the growing concern around viewership, the purpose of the project was to encode on-demand content using current devices to measure who was watching what and any given time.

This information is used by the television networks to measure the popularity of the programs.

Mobile Payments

The mobile payments arena is a dynamic market where many ideas have come and gone.
